What’s a ‘Happy’ Workplace?

What we want

We envision a world where there is equity of opportunity to have a creative, fulfilling, balanced & sustainable working life whatever our circumstances.

Our Mission

Our mission is to unite for inclusive employment, create a safe creative environment for disabled people to co-design solutions, and foster collaboration across diverse UK organisations.

We are a collective of people who feel disabled by society through our lived experience of barriers to employment (social model of disability).

Our co-production

Our co-founder Karen Blake, shares why coproduction is important to our work, what it is to us, and why it is embedded in everything we do.

#NothingAboutUsWithoutUs

Our models of disability

We, as a community understand and are fully aware from our experiences, that we are disabled by barriers in society. We all feel and experience these barriers differently too. Many of us are aware of how the medical is part of our life, and other models too. Tim, kindly share his experience and thoughts on the models of disability.

Our story so far

We have created a small animated video to share our story so far. We started a Pilot early in 2024: Active Inclusion: Equity in Employment. Wow, we have limited resources, capacity and funding. Enjoy.

Our expertise

We are in our co-production stage of developing our Ways of Working model and our services we can promote on our website.
But please don’t hesitate in connecting with us, you are welcome to join us in our coproduction this year, and we can chat about any ways we can support you through our work and expertise. And if we can’t support you, we can direct you to people who can.
