Why Inclusive Workplaces Are Built on Lived Experience

Rakesh sharing ‘Why it is important to show myself at work’.

How to…

Want to create a more inclusive workplace? Start by listening to the people who’ve faced barriers to employment. The Active Inclusion: Equity in Employment pilot,  produced video resources for employers that do just that. Kindly funded and shared by the South London No Wrong Door: Integration Hub and the South London Partnership.

We hope these videos are useful for your learning and development. As you watch, we invite you to use the activities at the end of each video as a starting point for discussions with your colleagues. Together, you can explore how to build a truly welcoming and equitable workplace for everyone. Here we share two of the videos. Enjoy.

We are a user-led lived experience group that works with local organisations to create real opportunities. Our work helps employers build cultures where people feel safe, respected, and agency to succeed. The result? Lower turnover, stronger teams, and a living archive of insights to drive real change.
